Behold, Superfly II!
She's a “G20”, a 20’ custom center console built with pride by Joe Berkman of the Gloucester Boat Building Company (www.gboats.com) in Essex, Mass. It was love at first sight. So, I went ahead and put in an order for Hull #21, and this is the result!

Luckily, her ride and fishability match her amazing lines. Her sharp entry and flare put down the chop, making her – hands down – the driest 20 footer I’ve ever been in, and her relatively shallow deadrise helps her sneak into the shallows. Powered with a super-quiet and fuel-efficient Suzuki four stroke, she’s quick and enjoys almost twice the range of my Parker. Joe (the builder) went over the building process with me step by step, taking into consideration my concerns as a charter captain. Custom under-gunwale rod storage, forward grab rail and comfortable leaning post with a whale tail all conspire to make it very easy to reach tackle, and hold on when fishing the rips of Montauk. You are very much IN this boat, not ON it. The power actuated electronics box houses a top of the line Furuno sounder and GPS unit.
