SUPERFLY CHARTERS: Light Tackle and Fly Fishing Charters off Montauk and Long Island with Captain Mike Riley

Fishing equipment:
Superfly Charters provides top-tier tackle and is supported by Orvis, G.Loomis and Sage. You are welcome to bring any tackle you want, but consider calling first to check. 8 and 9 weight fly rods are best for spring; 10 weights are better for fall fishing. A 7-foot, medium spinning rod is a good all-around choice.

What to bring:

A sense of humor.
Warm clothes, dress in layers. Plan on a 20 degree difference over the course of the day, and a stiff breeze as we zip about.

Polarized Sunglasses
Camera (with waterproof bag)
Sacrificial Virgin (optional)
Shoes with good traction
Lunch (light snacks and drinks will be provided, but you should plan for your own lunch if you want it.)
Please, no bananas or dark soled shoes. As new maritime superstitions are added each day, the captain reserves the right to enforce new ones before, or during the trip.
